Cookie Policy
This cookie policy explains what cookies are and how DNA Complete (“DNA Complete, we, us”) uses cookies and similar technologies to operate our websites and Services and to help collect data. We encourage you to read the full policy in conjunction with our Privacy Policy so that you can understand what information is collected using cookies and how we use that information.
If you have any questions regarding DNA Complete’s use of cookies, please contact DNA Complete at support@DNAComplete.com.
1. What are cookies?
Most websites you visit use cookies to ensure you can see the content of our website in the right format depending on the device you are using and to improve your online experience. For the same reasons, so do we. Cookies are text files, containing small amounts of information, stored in your browsing device or on your hard drive when you visit our website or Services. These cookies can then be recalled by a web server in the same domain that placed the cookie. Doing so allows us to differentiate between you and all our other visitors.
Generally, there are two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie lasts while you leave your browser open, but is deleted when you close your browser. It’s easiest to think of session cookies as a website’s short-term memory which allow our site to recognize you as you move from page to page within our domain.
A persistent cookie however lasts until you, or your browser settings, delete the cookie or the cookie itself expires. Without persistent cookies, site would not be able to remember your preferences like your menu settings, language selection and other information that is useful in storing between sessions.
In addition, there are third-party cookies not owned by DNA Complete but are instead placed on your browsing device through our website. The parties that set third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits DNA Complete or other certain websites or apps. Please see information on third-party cookies below.
2. What are Web Beacons?
Our web pages may also contain electronic images known as web beacons (also called single-pixel gifs) that we use to help deliver cookies on our websites, count users who have visited those websites, and gather usage and performance data. We also include web beacons in our promotional email messages or newsletters to determine whether you open and act on them.
3. Why we use cookies
Cookies serve a lot of different purposes. For the most part, we use cookies to enable you to see our website content on your device, store your preferences and settings, enable you to sign in, combat fraud, analyze how our products perform, analytics, marketing, interest-based advertising, and fulfill other legitimate purposes. For this, we categorize them into three types of cookies – 1) strictly necessary cookies, 2) functional cookies and 3) marketing cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies are required to enable you to move around our website or Services, and for the features of our websites and Services to work correctly. Without these cookies, any requests you make on our website or Services cannot be facilitated. Functional cookies help enhance the performance of our websites and Services, and your user experience. These cookies will record information about your preferences and for us to provide benefits for our customers. Marketing cookies help us track your online activity and tailor our marketing and advertising suggestions to suit your preferences.
To help you better understand some of the ways we use cookies, we’ve put together this detailed table:
Use of Cookie: | Category of Cookie: | Description of use: |

Additionally, we use pixels in our emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients and what their interaction with the email is like. Generally, we use these cookies to provide us with analysis on the performance of our Services, communications, and find way to improve your experience. |

4. Third-party Advertising and Analytics Tracking
Our websites may include web beacons and cookies from third-party service providers. In some cases, that is because we have hired the third party to provide services on our behalf, such as site analytics. In other cases, it is because our web pages contain web beacons used to track interaction with and effectiveness of content (such as videos, news content) and ads from third parties. Because your browser connects to those third parties’ web servers to retrieve that content, those third parties are able to set or read their own cookies on your device and may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services.

6. How long cookies will stay on your browsing device
The length of time that a cookie will stay on our browsing device will depend on the type of cookie and whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. For a definition of the two general categories of cookies, refer to the “What are cookies?” section above. We also provided the lifespan of cookies set by our website in the table above.
7. How to control cookies
