Download Your Raw Data
First, download your raw DNA data from your existing genetic testing service (AncestryDNA, 23AndMe, MyHeritage, or FamilyTreeDNA).
Upload Your Data
Upload your raw DNA data to DNA Expand. We currently accept DNA uploads from AncestryDNA, 23AndMe, MyHeritage and FamilyTreeDNA.
Data Expansion
After your DNA upload, we will “fill in the blanks” in your raw data using a statistical process known as imputation. This will expand your DNA data file to contain over 35 million genetic variants—50 times more information than the original raw data file from your other DNA testing service!
Receive Your Reports
Often the same day, you’ll receive an email notification that your expanded results are ready. You can then access your detailed reports through our secure online portal.

Every major testing service lets you export your raw data from your account settings. Log in to your AncestryDNA, 23andMe, MyHeritage, or FamilyTreeDNA account, request your raw DNA data download, and save the file. Then upload that file to DNA Expand.
What is DNA data expansion?
